Job Description
Seeking to hire a Lab Manager to become an integral part of the team. We seek candidates with expertise in laboratory management, overseeing equipment maintenance, and routine laboratory tasks to ensure that the team can move forward quickly with early discovery research projects.
Responsibilities:
· Own the operations in the labs
· Collaborate with the entire team to ensure the lab runs smoothly
· Build and manage productive relationships with vendors
· Perform inspections to identify any safety and tenant improvements issues
· Act as a liaison and communicate with property management, building engineers, and vendors with facilities-related concerns
· Manage preventive maintenance schedules and contracts for equipment
· Ensure the laboratory is a safe environment and compliance with EHS
· Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments
· Manage sample, compound, and cell line inventories
· Facilitate ELN onboarding and compliance
· Perform research activities on ad hoc basis
General Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of life science research experience and 1+ years of experience in lab operations
· Hands on experience in standard cell biology
· Expereince with and cell based assays and flow cytometry
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Advanced ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize work from multiple projects.
· High sense of urgency and appetite for problem solving
· Pay Rate: 50-55/hr.- dependent on experience
