Hydrogen are currently looking for a Data Scientist who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and solutions in support of the retail banking division. This role requires a strong background in R programming, as well as experience with machine learning and statistical modelling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical models, including machine learning and statistical models, to support retail banking operations
- Utilize R programming to create and maintain data pipelines, perform data analysis, and build predictive models
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and provide solutions to support their decision-making
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through effective data visualization and clear, concise reports
- Stay current with the latest analytical tools and techniques, and continuously improve processes and systems
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
- At least 5 years of experience in a data science role, with a focus on retail banking
- Strong background in R programming, with experience in machine learning and statistical modeling
- Strong understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in a related field
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark
- Experience with SQL and database management
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
