We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of IT projects in a regulated environment within the defense industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. They will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements are met, and ensure that all projects adhere to industry-specific regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates, in consultation with stakeholders
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, systems engineers, and business analysts, to ensure project deliverables meet project requirements and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues
  • Ensure that projects adhere to industry-specific regulations and standards, including those related to security, data privacy, and quality control
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks to project success
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments
  • Manage project budgets and ensure that projects are delivered within budget
  • Provide leadership to project team members, including setting expectations and providing guidance on project-related activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a regulated environment within the defense industry
  • Experience managing projects using industry-standard project management methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks to project success
  • Understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards, including security and data privacy requirements
  • Familiarity with project management tools, such as JIRA or MS Project

Working Conditions: The IT Project Manager will work in an office environment, with occasional travel to project sites or meetings with stakeholders. The position may require working outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines or address urgent issues. The role may also require obtaining security clearance in accordance with defense industry regulations.
