Design Operations is at the heart of design teams; it enables our growing Design Organisation by continually improving how we work together, how we get work done and how our work creates impact. It enables designers and researchers to do truly exceptional work.
As Design Ops Manager for Customer Design Team, you'll play a key role amplifying design's value and impact at scale. You'll be skilled in human-centred problem-solving, driving both culture and process to raise our design maturity.

  • Understand Customer Design Team, assisting with tracking maturity and identifying opportunities across capabilities, community, culture and craft.
  • Maximise the Design Team's value and impact, by providing hands on tactical support in areas including (but not limited to):
    - Creating environments and sessions that enable effective communication.
    - Ensuring effective, human-centric hiring, onboarding and personal development practices.
    - Facilitating design quality through consistent toolsets and processes.
    - Sharing and expanding knowledge through design systems and research insight repositories.
    - Educating others within the business on design's value, sharing success stories of user-centered design processes.
    - Elevating our Design Organisation's profile within the external design community, so we can attract the best talent.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives for the Customer Design Team that delivering value early and often.
  • Being an advocate for Design in Technology.
  • Awareness of Design Ops practices in the industry.
  • Running engaging workshops that capture and incorporate the best insights and thinking of others.
  • Working with teams and stakeholders to gather & provide key result metrics.
  • Collaborating with Design Ops Managers/Coordinators and ensuring the effective application of our practice principles.
  • Following and contributing to the development of Ops practices.
  • Build and maintain alignment and close working relationships with Product Ops.
