Product Manager - Tax (must have tax experience)

£650-£700 p/d Inside

6-month contract

Remote/London

Seeking a talented Product Manager to drive the vision and strategy the businesses Tax products.

As the first point of contact for the Tax stakeholders, you will be responsible

for understanding their challenges, objectives and pain points and using that

information to evolve and drive the product vision, strategy and the long-term

roadmap for Tax.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact for Tax and understand tax business challenges,

objectives and pain points

  • Evolve and drive the product vision, strategy and the long-term roadmap for Tax
  • Proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to set the future

direction of products as part of the wider business strategy

  • Impact assess proposed change on systems and provide information (e.g. Tech time,

cost, complexity estimates etc.) to Finance stakeholders to jointly prioritise

demand

  • Proactively suggest opportunities for improvements / enhancements to systems to

business stakeholders, including from regular systems maintenance patches

  • Represent Tax in other tech projects, such as legacy system replacements,

ensuring dependencies are managed and there are no negative impacts to Tax

  • Support the ERP Product team with maintenance and enhancement of tax rules within the

ERPs across the Group

  • Effectively document and explain new requirements to the engineering team using

user stories with acceptance criteria and help the team in breaking down

complex work into smaller, deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered

faster

  • Steer sprint/ release planning sessions by working with the engineering counterparts

to plan sprints/ releases that deliver maximum business value in least effort

  • Drive the acceptance and adoption of ideas and improvements with product teams and

engineering stakeholders

  • Use knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau to support small automation and reporting

projects for Tax

  • Prioritise, coordinate and communicate the resolution of live product issues

independently

  • Prioritise work and decisively resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders
  • Identify and remove impediments faced by the team by working with your Head of Product

and other stakeholders and proactively flag any risks or delays in your

commitments
