Job Posting: Quality Assurance Specialist I

Location: Frederick, MD

Shift: Wed-Sat 7am-5:30 pm (Onsite)

Salary: $30-34/hr

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our client as a Quality Assurance Specialist I. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Quality Assurance department at our manufacturing site in Frederick, MD. The Quality Assurance Specialist will ensure compliance with established quality procedures, identify and assess regulatory and quality risks, and uphold our commitment to meeting regulatory agency guidelines and our quality objectives. This is a contract opportunity offered on an initial 6 month basis, with potential to extend/convert to FTE. As a w2 contract worker you are eligible to a benefits package including health/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401k vehicle and more.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-floor QA support for production operations
  • Ensure adherence to process control measures during product manufacturing
  • Oversee and authorize the shipment of final products
  • Verify and ensure timely issuance of production documents and labels
  • Review batch-related documentation, ensuring prompt resolution of issues to release and ship products
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Initiate and resolve associated CAPAs, as necessary


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline and experience in Quality Assurance or GMP environment (Drug Substance or Drug Product), OR
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a GMP environment, OR
  • High School diploma and 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in a GMP environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge and application of GMPs in accordance with U.S., EU, and ROW standards
  • General knowledge of aseptic manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications
