Integration Project Engineer – Validation

Pay:$50-56/hr
The Integration Project Engineer will be a key member of the Validation Engineering team, responsible for driving the timely and efficient execution of Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Design Verification (DV) and validation activities across multiple automotive programs. This role owns the creation and management of complex DV test schedules, ensures cross-functional alignment, and provides clear, regular reporting on progress, dependencies, and risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive DV and validation testing schedules, working closely with Validation Engineering and cross-functional partners to ensure all activities, hand-offs, and dependencies are accurately captured and continuously updated.
- Track progress, issues, and risks across the validation lifecycle, ensuring engineers are aligned to the plan and documentation reflects real-time status.
- Identify schedule-impacting obstacles and drive resolution through strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and coordination with partner organizations.
- Compile final validation report packages by gathering test reports and supporting documentation from responsible engineers.
- Provide consistent and clear progress updates through written reports, presentations, and project management tools, serving as the schedule expert for all timing-related validation discussions.
- Manage inter-team dependencies and cross-functional hand-offs to ensure alignment across engineering, testing, and partner organizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, or engineering support within a fast-paced technical environment, preferably related to electronics testing.
- Demonstrated proficiency in scheduling methodologies and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Smartsheets.
- Strong data analysis and data management capabilities, with the ability to quickly identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
- Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders to meet critical deadlines and project deliverables.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with engineers to gather updates, documentation, and test status information.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable operating in dynamic environments with aggressive timelines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong curiosity and energy.
