Azure DevOps Engineer

We're looking for an Azure DevOps engineer to join our DevOps team to help migrate our applications into Azure.

  • Proactive problem solver: will be expected to monitor and take ownership of production infrastructure issues and see them through to resolution
  • Capacity planning experience: will be expected to play a core part in preparing for high traffic events
  • Customer focus: our systems are used by millions of customers per day, and the availability and performance of our systems are critical. For this reason, the successful candidate should proactively be proposing improvement ideas.
  • Automation: should look for ways of automating manual processes
  • Very strong Azure deployment/configuration/management experience
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills (Terraform)
  • CI/CD (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS)
  • Configuration Management (Ansible)
  • GIT / GitHub Enterprise
  • Ability to do on call (5pm-9am support on a rota)
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure concerns: VNet/subnet planning
  • CDN experience: Akamai, Akamai CLI
  • Programming/Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript)
  • Test Driven Infrastructure
  • Alerting and Monitoring to ensure availability and performance
  • Agile Experience
