Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: London/Remote Working

Contract Length: 12 Months


Our client is currently in the process of implementing a new ERP with a go-live date of Sept 2022. We are looking for a seasoned business analyst with solid finance experience to join a small team. Our client is a small-medium sized retailer, so the ideal candidate will have experience in similar sized retail, travel or FMCG firms.

Furthermore, the candidate will have taken a finance system from System A to System B and ideally changed ERP finance processes and must be comfortable with finance vernacular.

Our client's finance team are remotely based, so fully remote working is available for this role. However, the client would prefer a candidate who could be onsite in the London office 1-2 days per week.

Expectations of the Role:

  • In the context of any given project, seeks to understand what the business does, their current processes, any pain points and areas for improvement
  • Liaises with and support all stakeholders, project team members and vendors in the successful delivery of the business outcome
  • Identifies, sets up and runs workshops with business stakeholders, technology team members and vendors to elicit / communicate requirements
  • Creates and maintains any supporting materials that reinforce or support the transition to the desired business outcome (e.g. process flows, wireframes, data analysis)
  • Manages the requirements through the life of the project including during any work with vendors or change request processes.
  • Work with the business and test team to prioritise defects and support testing activities such as User Acceptance Testing
  • Provides and shares knowledge, experience, and ideas to others in the team support the team's continuous improvement

Experience Required:

  • Prior experience of leading business analysis across retail/technology/business change projects
  • Competent in MS Office applications
  • Can confidently undertake analysis, document requirements and process maps and present information clearly
  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or working towards it is desirable but not essential
