Change Manager - Regulatory Change


Rate: $900-950 per day including super/excluding GST
Duration: 6 - 12 months with possible extensions
Start: ASAP - 4 weeks
Location: Sydney

The Role
Change Managers are accountable for coordinating organisational change management across the projects being delivered by the PMO to achieve business outcomes. Key to the success of this role working alongside the business owner/s, developing thorough plans and successfully implementing a successful change. Specifically, the Change Manager will be responsible for the change elements of the upcoming regulatory initiatives.


  • Lead the direction of all change management activities including impact assessments, change plan and carrying out change activities eg communications and training
  • Proactively manage the successful delivery of organisational change across multiple streams
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative and productive working relationships with project stakeholders within and external to the organisation, supported by clear, timely, informative and appropriate communications
  • Utilise the most appropriate techniques and materials to successfully achieve organisational change, with a particular focus on efficient delivery to a large retail network Australia wide
  • Identify risks and resistance to organisational change, develop and implement management strategies to prevent or minimise the impacts to projects
  • Establish, coordinate and support groups and forums required to implement organisational change for projects
  • Adhere to organisational change management standards, artefact templates and processes. Add to the body of work being led by the Change Community of Practice as part of the Integration.
  • Develop and maintain change management artefacts throughout the lifecycle of a project ensuring they meet the agreed quality standards for the project
  • Contribute to the cultivation of a strong commitment to customer focus and excellent service delivery of the PMO

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in regulatory change is highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualification in Organisational Change or equivalent
  • Certification in Change Management desirable
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Change Management roles including demonstrated experience with and detailed knowledge of the following:
    • Stakeholder analysis
    • Change impact analysis
    • Business readiness planning
    • Delivery of change plan elements - comms, training, integrate new processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment etc
  • Demonstrated ability in assessing the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to going live
  • Demonstrated ability in defining the series and sequence of activities to bring stakeholders to the required level of commitment, prior to going live
  • Demonstrated ability to develop user guides, processes and procedures
