Hydrogen are currently working with a well recognised organisation are looking to hire a Cloud Engineer to join their team in the West Midlands on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud hosting technologies and possess excellent technical abilities in Microsoft Azure and AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and manage cloud-based infrastructure in Azure and AWS.
  • Migrate existing on-premises servers and applications to cloud environments.
  • Create and manage virtual machines, storage solutions, network resources, and security groups.
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Monitor and manage disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to IT server infrastructure and cloud systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation on cloud infrastructure and related processes.
  • Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud hosting technologies.
  • Understanding of security protocols and best practices for cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in disaster recovery and backup solutions for cloud environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • AWS and Azure certifications preferred.
