Data Engineer - Permanent opportunity

As a Data Engineer, you will be working as part of an international team, driving our class leading data platform forwards as well as developing greenfield data products to 'sell' to the business.

You will be working as part of a larger centre of excellence of data specialists, looking after our Data, Business Intelligence, and ML platforms working in an agile environment, with the ability to contribute ideas and helping to prioritise technical work.

Responsibilities include

  • Passionate about coding in JVM languages, as well as Ruby or Python. You don't have to be great at coding in them all, but we want you to be happy learning and picking up new skills
  • A good communicator, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts
  • Great to work with, proactive, and has good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in our open, friendly, and distributed environment

  • This is a great opportunity to get grips with the latest technology in distributed systems
  • Some exposure to Messaging systems, columnular databases or AWS cloud would be an advantage
