Interim Finance Business Partner - Part-Time

Summary of the Role:

We are excited to be growing the Finance area of our business and recruiting a new Management Accountant role and Finance Business Partner to join us and assist us in our financial growth.

This role offers a wide range of responsibilities across both management and financial accounting as well as opportunities for personal development. This is a permanent part-time (3 days a week) hands-on accountancy role while benefitting from finance business partner engagement at a senior level.

You will be a finance point of contact for the wider business and will have an opportunity to coach/manage junior members and develop people management skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with our Head Office team to ensure the accuracy and timely reporting of Company P&Ls
  • Assisting with the efficiency and control improvements of financial systems, processes and controls
  • Business partnering with various stakeholders within the business and finance
  • Continuous process review, control and efficiency improvement

Key Accountabilities:

High Level:

  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Post Sales invoicing
  • Credit Control
  • Sales Ledger
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Payroll

Management Accounting:

  • Review, preparation and posting of monthly revenue recognition
  • Ensure monthly margin has been analysed and provide support to wider finance team Preparation and review of P&Ls by Profit centre, including commentary and ad hoc analysis
  • Prepare a detail Margin Report monthly to Regional Heads
  • Investigating irregularities
  • Review of deal costs
  • Review of Company cost elements to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information (EMEA finance team)

Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • To assist in delivering the budget and forecast submissions within agreed deadlines
  • Compare actuals versus Budget and provide commentary on variances
  • Assisting with the review and ownership of cost items or P&L's
  • Identify opportunities for business growth
  • Identify high-cost areas, investigate and provide business solutions to improve

Financial Reporting:

  • Liaison with external auditors, inspectors and advisers
  • Assist wider finance team on Company reporting

Regulatory and Taxation:

  • Liaise with local agencies to ensure filings are submitted in due time and ensure compliance.

Finance Business Partner:

  • Excellent senior stakeholder engagement

Essential Qualification and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • University Degree minimum 2.1

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • 1- 2 years experience minimum
