Hydrogen Group are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join a fast-growing Fintech that deliver low-latency computer, connectivity and analytics exclusively within global capital markets and financial services. The Company is based in Glasgow

The Management Accountant role is a permanent position and the company work a hybrid working pattern that is 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. The salary is competitive and they have a good benefits package to go along side.

Overview of the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified or qualified by experience Management Accountant that offers the right candidate a chance to work in a fast-paced dynamic team as they support the business through a transformational stage of our evolution.


· Supporting the Senior Management Accountant in preparing, reviewing and submitting the monthly management accounts within timely deadlines
· Responsible for preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts across the full group in line with the month end timetable
· Support with the preparation of monthly board pack with detailed analysis and supporting data
· Supporting with all statutory audits and reviews
· Key Business Variance Analysis and commentary, and key metrics
· Support and prepare cash flow forecasts
· Support the Senior Management Accountant to produce annual budgets and rolling forecasts including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Capex schedules
· Cross company communications with operational, sales and other key budget holders
· Promote a continuous improvement approach to business policy and processes, implementing positive change
· Working closely with accounts assistants to ensure accuracy and successful delivery of operational tasks in line with business deadlines
· Supporting accounts assistants with developing their technical knowledge  Support direct and indirect tax activities across the group

Essential skills for the Successful Candidate

· Come with a strong commercial acumen and an understanding of key business drivers
· Have worked in a similar Industry based role
· Be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
· Have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
· Self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude
· Flexible and able to work on a variety of ad hoc projects
· Ability to explain financial metrics/concepts to other functional managers
· Strong organisational skills
· Part CA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience
