Network Infrastructure Lead - Bracknell/Remote - £550 a day Inside IR35

You will lead and drive for the outcomes the business requires and be accountable for outcomes relating to your services. You will be expected to work effectively with the third-party service providers, ensuring service availability, performance and improvement. You will lead your service to ensure delivery within technical strategy and manage your service risk.

Responsibilities include:

- Developing working relationships with key business stakeholders, to build your understanding of the commercial, technical and operational landscape and business strategy to deliver targeted outcomes.
- Fulfilling the "relationship owner" role for Strategic, Key and Preferred vendors within the technology and service area
- You will have knowledge of the end to end Network service(s) as well as an understanding of its consumption by the business and will develop a forecast of demand for the service and (by extension) the vendor's services. You will be expected to support the Infrastructure Manager, inputting into decisions in relation to the vendor and provision of service Work with Architecture to understand strategic goals and ensure the work performed is aligned with the business and technical strategy.
- Producing business cases to deliver change and innovation You will keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends, including technological advancements, and feed these into strategic thinking Owning business processes, frameworks and tools within your area Working closely with the Service Management and Integration (SIAM) function to shape and ensure relevant information is being provided to allow measurement of success and other critical SIAM capabilities, including Capacity Management, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Being the authoritative point of escalation for your technology area.

What you'll have:
- Demonstrable experience in leading managed services in a complex enterprise IT environment in addition to the definition of SLAs, KPI, and innovation targets Proven experience in managing high-value third-party contracts and will have budgetary management skills understanding contract penalties and experience with service renewals ensuring future costs are taken into consideration.

- Comprehensive knowledge of modern Network service principles is essential, along with proven experience of how these technologies support an enterprise business The ability to communicate at all levels is critical to the success of the role.

- Hosting technologies are complex and you need to be sufficiently confident to articulate and discuss these both in verbal and formal written documents to key stakeholders, customers and the leadership team.

- You will have the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with outstanding problem-solving skills, you will also have an analytical mind and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

- Experience in creating and evolving operating procedures and processes, as well as experience in the implementation of these in a managed service environment.

What else you could bring (desirable skills):
- Preference for a degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or related qualification.

- Experience in the retail sector, both physical and on-line LAN, WAN services and technologies, including large-scale enterprise data centre networks and large-scale distributed networks SAN technologies and implementations.

Wireless network technologies and implementations Network security, remote access and load balancing Microsegmentation technologies (such as VMWare NSX-T).
