We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our data architecture in the financial services or banking industry. The successful candidate will have experience working on large-scale data migration projects, specifically from AWS to Azure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of our data architecture, including data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and data management.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify and prioritize data requirements.
  • Develop and implement data integration strategies for both structured and unstructured data.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior data architects and developers.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of our data architecture.
  • Develop and implement data security and privacy policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data architecture performance issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the data architecture field.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, and data management.
  • Experience working in the financial services or banking industry.
  • Strong technical proficiency in AWS, Azure, and related tools and technologies.
  • Experience working on large-scale data migration projects, specifically from AWS to Azure.
  • Strong understanding of data security and privacy policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to junior data architects and developers.
