Role: Principal Solutions Architect

Salary: up to £85k (DOE)

Location: Edinburgh (remote)*

Our retail banking client requires an experienced Senior Solutions Architect who is looking to move into a Principal role. The successful candidate will lead the Solution Architecture across IT & Business Change, ensuring that all designs, governance and delivery is completed to the highest level of engineering excellence for all portfolio projects in the bank. As principal architect, the practise team will look to you to set the direction, strategy, build the practise and drive through service improvement plans, features and change you'd like to see on the technical architecture. You will work closely with the head of engineering on our longer-term, strategic business and technology goals for the organisation.

Required Experience:
· Extensive experience designing and building solutions in one of the following: Mobile, API, Telephony & Contact Centre, preferably at enterprise level

· Able to act as a domain level SME on Solution Architecture

· Experience delivering solutions in financial services, or another regulated industry

· Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills

· Ability to demonstrate that you have working knowledge of frameworks at enterprise level, ideally Splunk, APM, DataDog, Log4J & Adobe Analytics.

· Understanding of CI/CD deployment technologies.

· Containerisation, ideally using Docker and Kubernetes
