Hydrogen Group are currently looking to recruit a Programme Manager for a large savings and retirement business based in South Birmingham. The successful candidate is expected to have a background within financial services. The Successful Programme Manager would be working a hybrid work pattern. The salary for the role is excellent with a good bonus package.

Role Responsibilities
· Work with Business Sponsors, relevant stakeholders and the programme team to scope, define and plan the programme and associated work streams.
· Design of an appropriate programme governance structure and source appropriate resources to ensure programmes are adequately resourced
· Use advanced tools and techniques to an expert level to maximise the benefits these tools can provide to programme delivery.
· Implement and operate an effective and robust governance and control environment
· Produce and actively maintain good quality programme documentation, including plans, actions, decisions, RAID logs, change requests, incidents and governance in line with the programme objectives to ensure successful delivery
· Identify and actively manage stakeholders (typically up to Management Board/EXCO)
· Develop a network of contacts internally and externally to draw on and share best practice of programme management
· Be capable of providing management oversight and support to a sub-set of sub-portfolio programmes and projects on behalf of the Portfolio Delivery Manager
· Strong leadership and management skills, able to create a sense of community amongst the members of the programme
· Provide strong leadership and critical decision-making skills to support the organisation in both the delivery and the adoption of large-scale complex change
Key skills required
· Ability to manage programmes remotely, either in house or through outsourcers
· Proven track record of handling of delivering programmes through appropriate management methodologies and techniques specifically including both waterfall and agile delivery methods
· Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of influencing senior level stakeholders
· Strong leadership and management skills, able to create a sense of community amongst the members of the programmes
· The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
· Good negotiation skills
· Programme level financial/ budgetary skills
· Experience of risk assessment and management principles and processes
Desirable
· Prince 2 (or similar Project Management Accreditation)
· Certification - Associate of Project Management (APM) - PMQ level or equivalent
· Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) - Practitioner or Advanced Practitioner
