We are looking for experienced Design professionals with exceptional craft expertise and a deep understanding of their subject areas. They collaborate directly within a team and indirectly across a small number of teams to define and execute design details that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of user flows, product features, and underlying technologies across teams and tracks. Understand the larger user and business context of the product area.
  2. Apply user-centered design concepts, methods, tools, and techniques to deliver high-quality design solutions. Utilize research and data to inform design decisions.
  3. Create well-researched and data-informed design assets and solutions at a higher volume and velocity than core level designers.
  4. Take responsibility for overall product design quality within the designated area. Proactively identify and resolve critical issues and bugs across teams.
  5. Independently complete complex objectives, involving necessary stakeholders. Generate new product ideas and develop tests and processes to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions.
  6. Help others to develop, champion, and refine ideas or initiatives that address business and user needs within and outside of the direct responsibility area.
  7. Exhibit an advanced understanding of the brand, design, and accessibility standards and systems. Ensure adherence to these standards within the designated area.
  8. Collaborate with peers, leads, and other stakeholders in the tech and product organizations to drive and execute broader-level strategies for product improvement.
  9. Foster understanding of user-centered design concepts, methods, and techniques within the team and design community. Facilitate ideation sessions and brainstorming relevant to design topics.
  10. Volunteer to work on projects that solve business and user needs beyond the direct responsibility area. Take on challenging or less popular design tasks.
  11. Utilize our data tools such as ET and Google Analytics, and guide core designers in using them. Define and use qualitative research topics to deliver solutions aligned with business metrics.
  12. Actively participate in recruiting and initiatives to grow and strengthen the craft community.
  13. Clearly communicate design approaches and solutions throughout the development lifecycle, collaborating with multiple teams and disciplines to achieve project objectives.
  14. Mentor and coach designers within a track, improving their productivity. Offer support and guidance to designers on other teams when possible.
