Hydrogen are working on an exciting opportunity with a leading international bank who are looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join their highly regarded European Securities Services team.

The successful candidate will be working closely with an international team and supporting various business units within securities services such as custody, treasury, agency lending, global trustee and fiduciary services. You will be working in an advisory role supporting the business on the development and launch of new products or advising on issues/restructuring of existing products. This team will not be involved in the negotiation of custody agreements however you will be acting as an escalation point for complex related issues.

Skills required

  • Admitted to practice as a solicitor in England & Wales and or European with ideally 3 - 7 years PQE gained in-house or within private practice*.
  • Experience in advising on Financial services regulation and strong understanding of FCA or PRA handbook.
  • Familiarity with CASS breaches and SRD2 is desirable.
  • Ability to apply legal and regulatory principles and requirements in practical scenario e.g when advising on regulatory changes toward existing products.
  • Experience with issuer services, cash management or treasury would be useful.
