As Virgin Money executes the Data Strategy and continues to build on strategic data assets - we have a Senior Solutions Manager opportunity to focus on the delivery of change for our Customer Experience office (Personal/Retail) and Group Commercial Office. In addition to being a Change & Delivery role there is also the opportunity to manage key Data assets for Finance, Risk and Fin Crime.
We're looking for an experienced colleague with a proven track record of running Agile change projects (preferably projects within Financial Services, but not essential) who can transform our ways of working, adopt a 'shift left' approach to change and maintain release velocity and quality. We're looking for someone who can communicate effectively with our stakeholders, and take accountability for the end-to-end delivery of a solution. Experience working with MSAs and delivery partners is desirable as well as delivering change to cloud platforms, such as AWS. You maybe an experienced project manager looking to transition to Agile solution delivery. Sound knowledge and experience of the change lifecycle, risk & issue management, project planning and asset management are essential, as well as mentoring and leading colleagues.
What would my day look like?
You'll be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of solutions prepared by Data Solutions designers & architects to key assets on-Cloud and on-prem, Activities will be wide ranging and you'll be working with both onshore and offshore delivery pods. Key activities will be the planning of Sprints to support change and planning across multiple streams of delivery. A sound understanding of data fabric and data mesh concepts is beneficial but not essential.
Team work is a vital part of this work and you will people lead a team of up to 10 colleagues with a range of skillsets from Data Engineering, System Administration and Technical Leads/SMEs. You will develop our talent and maximise our colleague productivity and diversity with a focus on strong engagement, continuous improvement and driving a positive customer experience.
We are looking for a go-getter. We want you to drive and promote our Digital first message and to be passionate about customer experience, data usage and continuous improvement. Experience of Agile change delivery, IT roadmaps and managing technology assets are key. A good understanding of analytical tooling and data/ETL concepts is beneficial.
