Seeking a skilled ServiceNow ITOM Visibility Service Mapping Engineer with a deep understanding of Configuration Management, ServiceNow, and ITIL processes, along with a knack for discovering and mapping complex infrastructures.







Roles & Responsibilities:

· As a ServiceNow ITOM Visibility Service Mapping Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the rollout and maintenance of our Service Mapping capability. Your responsibilities will include:

· Administering the ServiceNow Service Mapping tool and integrating new business services.

· Collaborating with Application SMEs to capture entry point data for key business applications.

· Ensuring accurate service maps by collaborating with Service Owners and SMEs.

· Identifying potential Service Mapping candidates using horizontally discovered data.

· Coordinating with the internal ServiceNow development team to create, test, and deploy new discovery patterns.

· Monitoring and reconciling discovery and service mapping results.

· Maintaining Service Mapping integrity across production and non-production environments.

· Creating and managing Service Mapping discovery schedules.

· Periodically reviewing and updating operational procedures.







What to Bring:

· To thrive in this role, you should possess:

· At least 1 year of experience in Configuration Management and using ServiceNow.

· A broad knowledge of network, infrastructure, and application architecture.

· A solid understanding of ITIL processes and Configuration Management's role in service delivery.

· The ability to explain Configuration Management's core principles and its relation to Incident and Change Management within ITIL.







Core Skills:

· You should be proficient in the following:

· ServiceNow CMDB data model (CSDM)

· ServiceNow ITOM discovery & Service Mapping

· Java Regular Expression

· Business application architecture

· Familiarity with Infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux), Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V), and Network architecture (switches, routers, firewalls, OSI network model)

· Troubleshooting credentials issues with engineers







Beneficial Skills:

· Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

· High availability application & infrastructure architecture

· Container computing (Docker, Kubernetes)

· Cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)

· ServiceNow discovery pattern development

· Scripting / programming
