Our client is a leading UAE based business with a dedicated investments and venture capital arm. You will be advising on litigation matters working closely with their Deputy CEO.
The current need has arisen due to some complex litigation in the US which requires an attorney with an appropriate level of experience in US litigation to advise the senior management on various aspects of dispute resolution matters, implement their instructions, and generally manage the overall process in a proactive manner, including project managing external counsels.
Minimum Educational, Technical Qualifications/Certifications Required
J.D. degree and current membership in at least one U.S. state bar (preferably New York, California, or Texas). Minimum
Professional Experience Required
At least 5 years of experience in advising on commercial disputes in the US including handling all stages of in court litigation in a US court of significance (e.g., State Supreme Court and/or Federal District Court) at trial and appeal stages with additional experience with interlocutory hearings. Should have excellent drafting skills in order to properly review the work of the external counsels (wherever required), direct them and implement strict cost control measures and oversight, and participate in the drafting, as may be required or necessary.
