Our client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced iOS Developer to join their team to create fantastic user experiences.


The role is an initial 12 month contract with possibility of extension and will see you working for one of Australia's largest media organisations.


Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Create components to meet business requirements building robust high-volume applications
  • Work with the UX team to iterate designs into working products
  • Work with the platform and API teams to define the service interfaces to support the products
  • Create prototypes of new technologies across iOS devices
  • Manage the iOS developer portal, including application submissions
  • Writing technical documentation


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Solid iOS development with strong experience of Objective-C , XCode, Cocoa, Swift
  • Broad experience of developing user interfaces, working with UX/UI designers
  • Awareness of principals of managing development processes with an interest in agile development practices eg. XP, Scrum and experience with TDD/BDD and unit testing iOS applications
  • Sound understanding of design patterns and solid grasp of Object Oriented design
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • At least one application in the Apple App Store
  • Ability to work alone/be self-directed


Preferred

  • Familiarity with Server Side integration
  • Experience with application publishing lifecycle for iOS
  • Knowledge of Video technologies and development for iOS devices
  • Native Automation Testing Experience
  • Understanding and experience of Cross Platform development
  • Collaboration with non-technical business staff to agree requirements, timescales and acceptance criteria
