We have a requirement for a permanent business focused Business Architect to join a Financial Services client based in Salisbury. The successful candidate will work on a large scale transformation programme.


This role owns the Business Architecture of the organisation, including the Current Operating Model, Target Operating Model and Business Capabilities across People, Process & Systems. Working principally at the macro level, innovating business model designs to create value and influencing the shape and focus of change initiatives to support strategic goals and define the art of the possible.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Align technical solutions with business needs, leading the organisation through their strategy for the next 5-10 years.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into delivery focussed change initiatives.
  • Validate all Change initiatives required by the organisation to ensure alignment with the Strategic and IT transformational roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders to become a trusted ally who can take the business forward to meet their goals.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Architecture team to ensure that the business and technical architecture strategies and principles are aligned.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience of working within business architecture in a Financial Services organisation or as a senior analyst with relevant industry experience.
  • Exposure to strategy development and experience of analysing strategy and business requirements, horizon scanning and R&D.
  • Able to demonstrate research capability, and an interest in technology innovation.
  • Strong background in TOM design and developing business capability mappings, value stream analysis and business motivational modelling.
  • Experience working on the delivery of significant, complex business or technology change within a large or complex business (including exposure to SDLCs).
  • Experience using standard MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Visio).
  • Excellent client facing skills, workshop planning & facilitation skills, presentation skills and communication & negotiation skills.
  • Experience in generating quality business cases, impact assessments, feasibility reports and dependency models.
  • The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used to support changes to the business.
  • Ability to understand business challenges and translates them into requirements/solutions.
