Our client is a pioneering investments firm, supporting some of the world’s largest institutional investors to recover investment losses through litigation in Europe and worldwide. Due to an increase in litigation in Germany, our client is looking for an experienced German lawyer to join their team and be based in London.
Knowledge of the German legal system and admission to practise in the country would be beneficial, however, given the international nature of their caseload, our client is open to hearing from individuals who are admitted to practice in other jurisdictions/states (e.g. England & Wales, New York). We would therefore still encourage German-speaking lawyers who have trained outside of Germany to get in touch. Please note that native/bilingual proficiency in German, in addition to fluency in English, is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Although litigation and investment recovery is the core of our client's business, the successful candidate need not necessarily be a specialist litigation lawyer, as non-contentious expertise in areas such as corporate and securities law would also be highly desirable. We are therefore interested in speaking to lawyers from relevant transactional, finance/insolvency, commercial and non-contentious advisory backgrounds, as well as those who are more specialised in litigation and/or arbritration.
