Our client is a leading international bank and looking to hire a lawyer with M&A experience for a unique position.
Our client, a leading bank, has instructed us to help them find an experienced Corporate M&A legal counsel to join their team in a challenging advisory role.
The successful candidate will support the bank's equities businesses, predominantly covering M&A and ECM but also with some coverage of Derivatives. You will have at least 4 years PQE and will have trained and qualified at a recognizable, highly-rated law firm. If already in-house, you will have spent time practicing at a well known financial institution. A strong background in M&A is essential and experience in ECM is desirable. Some knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the bank, including MAR, MiFID II and the FCA Handbook will be an advantage.
This is an ideal opportunity for a lawyer who is seeking a more analytical, client-facing and advisory role that does not involve significant document churn and drafting. The role will afford the successful candidate a high level of exposure both internally and externally, e.g. representing the bank in front of industry regulators. Although the successful candidate will work as part of a team, our client is looking for somebody self-starting, who is a quick learner and is capable of working autonomously.
