Project Technician – Clean Fuels

In this role, you will support a portfolio of clean fuels and energy-related projects by providing project coordination, documentation, and organizational support to engineering teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project documentation and maintaining control databases.
- Tracking project status through spreadsheets and databases.
- Assisting engineers in preparing technical scopes of work, specifications, and contract documents.
- Supporting engineers with the development of presentations and reports using PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools.
- Coordinating with internal engineering disciplines, third-party firms, contractors, and project managers throughout project lifecycles.
- Mining, organizing, and maintaining project data for reporting and analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with internal document control systems and processes.
- Assisting with procurement documentation to ensure contract requirements are accurately defined.
- Monitoring and tracking engineering deliverables to align with project schedules.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Maintain and update internal document control systems and databases.
- Collaborate with third-party engineering firms to ensure data consistency.
- Provide organizational support to engineers across multiple disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, nuclear, etc.).
- Assist with documentation for a variety of projects, including clean fuels, fossil fuel conversion, renewable energy, and nuclear technologies.
- Support engineers in preparing technical and contractual documentation for procurement and project execution.
- Track and maintain records of engineering modifications and surveillance programs.
- Contribute to process improvement by documenting and recommending enhancements to workflows and procedures.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience with document control systems and databases (NAMS experience strongly preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple complex tasks.
- Proven track record of collaborating with engineering teams to achieve business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience developing presentations, spreadsheets, and technical reports.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in engineering, project coordination, or document management.
- Associate’s degree in document systems management, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an engineering firm or energy-related company highly desirable.
- Familiarity with clean fuels, renewable energy, or related industries a plus.
