Position Overview
The Budget Analyst II is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial and operating budget reports at the plant or site level. This role supports day-to-day accounting activities, financial consolidation, forecasting, and compliance reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for site leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain site-level financial and operating budget reports
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including preparation of journal entries
- Ensure accurate consolidation and reporting of all project or site entities
- Assist with forecasting and high-level financial reporting for the site
- Confirm and support SOX compliance requirements
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions and ensure timely reporting
- Administer and interpret accounting policies applicable to the site
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial consolidation processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting processes
- Experience with site-level budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with SAP, FMIP, Passport, and general ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet reporting deadlines
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- CPA or Master’s degree in a related field (preferred)
Experience
- 5+ years of experience managing financial operations and accounting activities
- Experience administering and applying accounting policies at a site or plant level
