Summary Description of the Position
IT Analyst – Procurement, will be interacting with product managers, analysts, engineers, and business process leads to help define how organizations are performing and help them improve their processes and systems. Largely responsible for ensuring alignment with departmental / enterprise strategies, support open issues, document improvements, and create effective workflow processes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work across functional processes (Procurement, Category Management, Finance and IT) to process map business functions, evaluate for efficiencies, identify change, and draft current/future state process.
- Build a deep understanding of the business process and work with the system integrator to become an expert on how those processes will be represented in the application.
- Think strategically to understand business drivers to define target state solutions.
- Actively note opportunities for system improvement and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders as needed. Converts the improvements to requirements / technical specifications and act as subject matter expert during development process.
- Work with business and IT stakeholders to define, document, and develop business requirements and translate into technical documentation.
- Understand, document, monitor, and implement processes for integration to ensure compliance and standardization across stakeholders.
- Support solution delivery by coordinating and facilitating the business test planning and test execution by authoring, participating in, and ensuring business sign-off of testing processes.
- Ability to use project management principles to ensure efficient management of multiple concurrent efforts and deliver on behalf of project implementation plan that aligns with the company's key business objectives.
- Log risks, issues, dependencies and decisions against user stories or requirements and document ongoing changes to scope, priority, and requirements.
- Work independently and provide business direction, guidance, and decisions to development and delivery teams.
- Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years prior experience demonstrating business analysis in the Procurement/Finance space.
- Required: Strong business process mapping experience and drafting technical documentation
- Supply chain experience a plus
- Knowledge and experience with Coupa or any other procurement solution is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to identify impacts and synthesize data from multiple sources
- Ability to excel and lead in a fast-paced environment while taking on diverse responsibilities
- Experience with SmartSheet, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio a plus
