Role Overview
The IT Software Developer Analyst – Level 2 is responsible for designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. This role focuses on translating complex business and technical requirements into elegant, functional, and visually consistent user interfaces. The analyst will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality design execution from concept through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
UX / UI Design
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups that clearly communicate functionality and visual intent
- Design intuitive, aesthetically pleasing user interfaces that enhance overall user experience
- Translate complex concepts into simple, user-friendly solutions
- Ensure design consistency with established brand guidelines and design systems
- Create and manage UI assets, including icons, buttons, and reusable components
- Partner with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively
User Research & Testing
- Plan and conduct usability testing sessions
- Gather, analyze, and incorporate user feedback into iterative design improvements
- Apply user-centered design principles throughout the product lifecycle
Collaboration & Communication
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive peer feedback
- Clearly articulate and present design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Advocate for UX best practices and accessibility standards across the organization
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with UX/UI trends, tools, and emerging technologies
- Identify opportunities to improve design workflows, standards, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, supported by a strong portfolio
- Proficiency with modern design tools (Figma preferred; Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision acceptable)
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
- Experience conducting user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing
- Ability to produce high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
- Experience working with design systems
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy or technology sectors
- Working knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with developers
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG, ADA, etc.)
