Position Overview
This position will be responsible for preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of construction plans and estimates for a fleet of energy-related projects, including utility-scale power generation construction, back-end environmental controls, plant improvement, fuel conversion, and facility deactivation. The role may also support active projects in execution, including management assessments, change orders, and baseline updates.
Duties and Responsibilities

Exercise professional judgment and provide counsel to the DE&C Leadership Team

Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and controls

Provide planning and scheduling support for projects in development or in execution

Develop plans and schedules to support business prospects and emerging technologies
-
Summarize plans and schedules to support senior executive investment decision-making

Work with others to transform conceptual plans into project-ready baselines and execution plans
-
Analyze third-party plans and schedules to assess constructability and market competitiveness

Prepare Project Execution Plans (PEPs) and conduct project baseline reviews as required

Assess the impact of scope or schedule changes associated with active projects

Maintain a library/database of execution plans and schedules for various project types

Develop sound working relationships with project team members, contractors, and other stakeholders

Assess project plans and schedules to identify issues and recommend solutions
Technical Skills

Thorough understanding of construction industry practices, methods, and processes

Knowledge of construction work sequences, field disciplines, and workplace logistics

Understanding of key concepts for compiling requests-for-proposal, including sourcing strategies, execution techniques, and risk management

Experience in planning and scheduling large and small utility-scale power-related projects

Ability to identify, analyze, and provide solutions for project constructability issues

In-depth experience with Primavera is required

Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Access is desirable

AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction, or Business and 10 years of related experience

Construction management and/or field supervision experience is a strong plus
-
PMI certification is also a plus
-
Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and consensus building

Proven ability to work collaboratively and provide guidance or coordinate team activities
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
-
Knowledge of project financing, accounting, and control systems is a plus
