This role sits at the heart of a high-performing team responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Transmission Lines, Substations, Pipelines, and Combined Cycle facilities.
Reporting to the Group Manager, you will lead scheduling teams through the full project life cycle — from development and early-stage engineering through to construction completion. You will work directly with Project Originators, Developers, Early Stage Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Construction Managers, serving as a key point of contact for schedule integrity and reporting across all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and progress tracking of project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare monthly construction project reports comparing baseline approved schedules against progress schedules.
- Conduct critical path method (CPM) analysis, resource loading, cost loading, and manpower submittal analysis.
- Evaluate schedule update impacts and support the development of recovery plans where required.
- Coordinate and lead Schedule Review Meetings with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and resource allocation.
- Develop effective and accurate schedules by gathering scope, logistics, and constraints from multidisciplinary project teams.
- Report project status and schedule variances to management in a clear, concise manner.
- Foster strong working relationships across project teams, maintaining a collaborative and positive team environment.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Demonstrated experience leading scheduling teams on large-scale capital or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong command of scheduling methodologies including CPM, resource loading, and cost loading.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional stakeholder engagement across all levels of a project organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex schedule data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills; able to critically review and validate external information.
- Highly organised with effective prioritisation skills and a bias towards action and delivery.
- Experience in the energy sector — including renewables (Wind, Solar, Storage), transmission, substations, pipelines, or power generation — is advantageous.
