Summary
The R2R Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and continuous process improvement. This role supervises a team of accountants and analysts, leads the month-end close process, supports audits, and ensures alignment with global standard practices of Lonza and overall organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the R2R team, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into R2R solutions.
- Ensure data integrity through coordination with AP, AR, FP&A, and business units.
- Lead and support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of R2R processes to maintain quality and compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users and team members on best R2R practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of R2R configurations and processes.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and optimization initiatives.
- Monitor internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and apply knowledge to enhance R2R processes.
- Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and execution of R2R-related initiatives.
Education & Certifications
- University Degree in Business Management or Finance (required; in progress acceptable).
- Preferred: CPA or CIMA certification (in progress acceptable).
Experience
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of GBSO workstreams and finance processes.
- Extensive experience in SAP R2R processes and SAP implementation projects.
