  • Develop and execute test plans to validate grid performance, safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure testing meets utility requirements, industry standards, and project specifications
  • Document commissioning results and prepare technical reporting
  • Work with SCADA teams on inverter controls, communications, and data integration
  • Review, create, and optimize inverter parameter models for multiple project types
  • Support remote connectivity and monitoring system integration
  • Provide technical input for SCADA HMI configuration and data point mapping
  • Develop deployment procedures, QA/QC protocols, and warranty processes
  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions to prevent project delays
  • Coordinate with OEMs, contractors, utilities, and internal teams
  • Manage commissioning schedules and ensure successful project delivery
  • Connect remotely to inverter systems for diagnostics and tuning
  • Provide remote commissioning and operational support
  • Maintain cybersecurity protocols and secure remote access standards

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience with utility-scale inverter and power electronics systems
  • Knowledge of advanced inverter functions (volt-VAR, frequency response, grid-forming)
  • Familiarity with SCADA and EMS platforms (SE, CA, OPF)
  • Experience with telemetry mapping, networking, and databases
  • Knowledge of ICCP/TASE.2 and RTU protocols
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP)
  • Experience with process control commissioning and troubleshooting
