About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing management of our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and a great end-user experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across cloud technologies, automation, and security, and who wants to play a key role in modern workplace solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and optimise the Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams)
- Manage Azure AD / Entra ID, including identity, access management, and conditional access
- Implement and maintain security and compliance features (Defender, DLP, retention policies, MFA)
- Support Intune / Endpoint Manager for device management and application deployment
- Troubleshoot complex M365 and identity-related issues
- Assist with migrations to Microsoft 365 and ongoing service improvements
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell
- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver modern workplace solutions
- Document systems, processes, and configurations
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Solid understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID and identity management
- Experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams
- PowerShell scripting for administration and automation
- Knowledge of M365 security and compliance tools
- Experience supporting Windows 10/11 in an enterprise environment
Desirable:
- Experience with Intune and device management
- Azure fundamentals (Azure AD, networking, security)
- Experience with hybrid environments
- Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-102, AZ-104, SC-300)
