Job Description
We are seeking a Vehicle Operations Specialist
to support physical operations and vehicle workflows at our Charlotte location. This role is essential to ensuring efficient processes, high product quality, and safe lot management.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day operations: scheduling, prioritizing vehicle workflows, requesting resources, and coordinating with on-site managers.
- Manage charging station capacity and maintenance based on customer demand.
- Maintain safe and usable drivelines in the lot.
- Perform final quality checks, create service orders, and provide feedback to service teams.
- Support vehicle wash, detailing, and paint correction activities.
- Prepare and validate delivery paperwork, scan/file dealer jackets, and manage secure documentation.
- Conduct audits (security, inventory, asset location, etc.).
- Monitor and replenish supplies/inventory as needed.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory, including Bill of Lading (BOL) paperwork.
- Prepare, inspect, and stage vehicles for remarketing/auction transport.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with onsite and remote teams.
- Work accurately in fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous situations.
- Proactively communicate roadblocks and propose solutions to management.
- Transport vehicles in varying weather conditions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or lot management.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Previous EV or detailing experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to obtain/maintain local sales licenses if applicable.
- Computer proficiency and comfort with digital tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, or weekends based on business needs.
- Ability and willingness to travel (up to 40%) to support other market launches/operations.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (proof required).
