Job Overview
The Accounting Assistant will support general accounting functions including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, account reconciliation, and payment processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare payments accurately and on time, following contract terms and agreements
- Maintain accurate vendor master data documentation
- Handle checks requiring special pickup or internal routing
- Perform general accounting tasks including journal entries
- Support A/R and A/P processes
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries
- Assist with account reconciliation
- Complete miscellaneous projects as needed
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 1+ year in supporting the reconciliation of accounts payable and general ledger.
- 3–4 years general accounting experience preferred
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
