Pay Rate:$20.95/hr

Position Summary

Our client is a global medical device manufacturer seeking an Associate Sewer to join its production team in Irvine, CA. This is a hands-on, high-precision role performing microscope-level hand-sewing of delicate biological tissue to assemble implantable medical device components, working to strict quality and cleanroom standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform precision sewing tasks under a microscope to build and finish medical device components.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.
  • Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
  • Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
  • Assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
  • Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers.
  • Carry needed tools and supplies from storage or trucks, and return them after use.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0-2 years experience required.
  • Prior sewing experience required.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Sewing skills required, including the ability to sew under a microscope.
  • Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to fine detail.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Team player and detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures to support safe and compliant manufacturing operations.
