Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Battery Test and Validation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting functional safety validation tests of battery packs. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of battery systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software validation principles and testing methodologies applied to battery system development.

Responsibilities

  • Execute functional safety battery pack and vehicle testing.
  • Operate and maintain battery testing equipment (e.g., cyclers, environmental chambers, data acquisition systems).
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Develop and implement new test methodologies and automation scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams to provide feedback on performance and identify improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all test data, procedures, and reports.
  • Follow and enforce laboratory safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with batteries, Battery Management Systems (BMS), or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) technologies.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware validation testing.
  • Experience with battery test equipment, LabVIEW, and data acquisition systems.
  • Experience working with high-voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN-FD, CAN over Ethernet).
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
