In this role, you will support daily financial operations, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing trade capture activities and executing end-of-day reconciliations and reporting.
- Monitoring financial positions, including Value at Risk (VaR) and other key risk metrics.
- Reconciling broker statements and external transaction records to ensure accuracy.
- Preparing and delivering daily profit and loss (P&L) reports and pricing analysis to management.
- Handling electronic funds transfers and supporting clearing and settlement processes.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to support small to medium-scale projects.
- Contributing to process design and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
- Supporting the development and enhancement of trade capture systems in collaboration with technology teams.
- Developing ad-hoc reports using SQL and data visualization tools.
- Creating and automating Excel-based reports, including the use of macros where applicable.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Execute daily trade capture and reconciliation processes with a high degree of accuracy.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and risk exposures.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results and key metrics.
- Support operational workflows related to settlements, funding, and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes, and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of databases and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, BI tools).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including automation techniques (e.g., macros).
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of financial systems and operational processes.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, operations, or accounting.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting processes is desirable.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
