Business Analyst Associate (Client Support)

Location: Houston, TX (100% onsite - Downtown)

Pay Range:$25–$30/hour

Duration: 12-month contract

Schedule: Full-time, standard business hours


Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst Associate (Client Support) with a strong customer-service mindset and analytical skill set to support operations within the Retail Energy and Natural Gas sector. This role serves as a key post-deal liaison between channel partners and the sales organization, ensuring accurate resolution of operational and client-related inquiries across deregulated energy markets.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment requiring problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and consistent adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary post-deal point of contact for channel partners and sales representatives
  • Research, analyze, and resolve post-contract inquiries, including:
    • Commission inquiries
    • Enrollment rejections
    • Billing discrepancies
    • Early termination and drop notifications
    • Regulatory complaints
    • Tax exemption requests
    • Market and pricing change communications
  • Conduct operational and data analysis to support informed decision-making
  • Navigate and resolve complex issues across multiple deregulated energy markets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Track deliverables, provide status updates, and communicate effectively with leadership
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Maintain high standards of customer advocacy and service excellence

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in client support, operations, or analytical roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with financial or operational analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
