Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven, and independent Business Analyst – Operational Readiness
to support system implementations by ensuring that all aspects of business operations are fully prepared before go-live. This role plays a critical part in bridging the gap between project delivery and operational execution, with a strong focus on ensuring that people, processes, data, and systems are deployment-ready. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast-paced environments and bring expertise in operational readiness planning, business process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between project teams and business units to evaluate operational impacts and identify readiness requirements.
- Define and manage operational readiness criteria, including updates to business processes, training materials, SOPs, support models, and internal communications.
- Collaborate with testing teams to ensure business needs are covered in test cases; support UAT, SIT, ORT planning, and defect resolution.
- Identify and track risks, dependencies, and readiness gaps through resolution, maintaining documentation throughout.
- Create and maintain readiness plans, checklists, and go/no-go criteria aligned with deployment timelines.
- Coordinate with change management and training teams to ensure operational staff are well-informed and adequately trained.
- Lead or support activities such as cutover planning, trial runs, and validation of business continuity procedures.
- Facilitate readiness workshops and status updates for project leadership and stakeholders.
- Define and communicate the post-implementation support model.
- Track readiness effectiveness through metrics and incorporate lessons learned into future implementations.
Desired Background
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business analysis or operational readiness roles, preferably in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in JIRA.
- Familiarity with QMetry or other testing management tools is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results on time.
- Solid understanding of testing cycles, operational workflows, and business continuity planning.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders and leadership.
