CAD Design Engineer

About the Role:
We're seeking a CAD Design Engineer
with strong CATIA skills to support battery and electrical hardware design for an innovative automotive program. This is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge vehicle development on a contract basis with a leading electric vehicle manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage CAD data related to battery systems using CATIA and ENOVIA.
- Support the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of CAD and PLM systems.
- Analyze battery packaging to identify clash, clearance, and contact issues.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to resolve critical fitment issues.
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), design attributes, and ensure data accuracy.
- Assist with development and updates of assembly drawings.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with CATIA V5(CATIA V6 / 3DExperience preferred).
- Experience with battery systems, electrical hardware, or automotive components.
- Familiarity with plastics and sheet metal design is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ENOVIA or similar PLM systems.
- Understanding of the design and manufacturing process for automotive parts.
- Prior involvement in virtual, prototype, or production vehicle builds.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
