Description:
Under limited supervision, this role performs technical tasks to produce complex drawings through the use of CAD technology. The Transmission Analyst demonstrates knowledge of specifications and applies them to engineering drawings. This role also supports process improvements, provides training to colleagues, and ensures compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage technical and engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support and manage special projects, including GIS-based initiatives, mapping for presentations, RFP support, and land exhibit preparation.
- Provide direction and training to others on CAD and documentation processes.
- Maintain records and documentation to meet retention, Sarbanes-Oxley, and NERC compliance standards.
- Support project management tasks, including clerical functions and cross-team collaboration.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in CAD/computer hardware & software (imaging and drafting), electronic document management systems, and transmission/substation processes.
- Strong knowledge of record retention, integrity, and compliance requirements.
- Competency in communication, leadership, process/project management, and analytical skills.
- ArcGIS Pro and/or other Esri software experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Professional certification.
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
