Change & Release Specialist
About the Role:
Our Financial Services client is looking for a Change & Release Specialist
to drive effective change management while improving how technology releases are planned and communicated across the organisation. This role focuses on embedding strong change practices and creating clarity around release activities, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end Change Management, ensuring all technology changes are rigorously assessed, authorised, and implemented in line with ITIL v4 principles.

Design and maintain release plans that provide clear visibility of upcoming deployments, timelines, and business impact.

Communicate release strategies and updates to stakeholders across IT and the business, ensuring everyone understands what is changing, when, and why.

Improve existing release processes, introducing structure and transparency to currently ad hoc or inconsistent release activities.

Track release progress, identify risks or blockers early, and coordinate timely resolution to keep releases on schedule.

Support a culture of continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and embedding best practices across both change and release management.
Experience & Skills

ITIL v4 certification with hands-on experience in ServiceNow or other ITSM tools.

Strong knowledge of Change Enablement, Release Management, and SDLC practices, including Agile.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of structured, transparent processes.

Excellent communication skills, particularly in translating technical release details into clear, actionable information for the business.
