Client Project Manager

Location: Remote – Occasional travel to Costa Mesa, CA. West Coast preferred.
Salary:$120,000–$140,000

We are partnering with a growing organization within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing space to identify an experienced Project Manager to support a portfolio of client-facing programs. This individual will take ownership of project execution from planning through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and risks, and serving as a key point of contact for clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within biotech, pharmaceutical, or contract manufacturing environments, along with the communication skills needed to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project activities remain aligned and deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or gaps, and proactively communicate and escalate issues.
• Maintain project risk registers and lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Prepare project updates, dashboards, and performance reports for internal leadership and client stakeholders.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project scope, timelines, progress, and key issues.
• Plan and lead project meetings, technical discussions, and business reviews to facilitate communication and decision-making.
• Develop a strong understanding of client priorities, programs, and business needs to ensure successful project delivery.
• Partner with internal commercial and business development teams to identify opportunities for expanding existing client relationships.
• Support the preparation of proposals, scope changes, and additional project opportunities as required.
• Monitor project financials, budgets, billing, and scope changes in partnership with finance and commercial teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual commitments and agreed client requirements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or contract manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing projects for or within a contract manufacturing organization (CMO/CDMO) strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, bioengineering, life sciences, or a related discipline preferred.
• Experience working within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.
