Organisation
· We are partnering with a large, Australian organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation program. As the organisation continues to evolve through growth initiatives, an opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded analyst to support a broad portfolio of strategic projects.
· This is not a traditional accounting role. You will operate at the intersection of finance, commercial analysis, project delivery, and business transformation, providing critical insights that influence decision-making across senior leadership teams.
· The role will suit a qualified accountant who has moved beyond month-end reporting and is now thriving in a commercial, project-focused environment.
Responsibilities
· Partner with senior finance and business leaders to support strategic transformation initiatives
· Deliver commercial analysis across pricing, profitability, budgeting, forecasting and investment decisions
· Build financial models and business cases to support project and investment prioritisation
· Analyse business performance, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations
· Support planning and budgeting activities across multiple business units
· Present findings and recommendations to executive-level stakeholders
Requirements
· CA / CPA qualified accountant
· Experience operating in a Commercial Analyst, Senior Commercial Analyst, Project Manager, FP&A, Finance Business Partner or similar role
· Strong financial modelling and commercial analysis capability
· Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation, projects or strategic initiatives
· Highly analytical with advanced Excel and data interpretation skills
· Able to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity
· Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage executive leaders
· Comfortable balancing hands-on analysis with broader project and commercial objectives
If you're a qualified accountant who enjoys solving commercial problems, influencing business outcomes, and working on strategic projects rather than purely operational finance, we'd love to hear from you.
