The Content Moderator will play a key role in reviewing and moderating user-generated content across all platform products and media to ensure compliance with community guidelines and policies. This includes moderating text content, images, forum discussions, job advertisements, candidate profiles, and other digital media, whilst working closely with stakeholders to maintain a safe, trustworthy, and compliant environment for all users.
You might have a background in content moderation, compliance, or in a customer-focused role and should have a passion for maintaining platform integrity, protecting user experience, learning about content policy enforcement, and being part of a team that works collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate all user-generated content across the platform including text-based content (job advertisements, company descriptions, user profiles, messages, forum posts), visual media (profile images, company logos, uploaded media), and community interactions to ensure compliance with legislation, platform policies and community guidelines while maintaining a respectful and professional environment
- Respond to user-reported content and escalate complex cases to senior team members or specialised teams as appropriate
- Proactively identify patterns of policy violations, inappropriate content, and emerging risks across all product areas
- Apply consistent judgement in enforcing content policies while considering cultural and regional nuances relevant to ANZ and Asian markets
- Analyse and manage moderation queues generated by automated detection tools and user reports
- Maintain discretion and care when handling sensitive or confidential material
- Provide continuous improvement recommendations on content policies, moderation workflows, and detection rules
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in content moderation, content review, online community management, or similar customer-focused roles in a medium to large enterprise, with a passion for user safety and platform integrity
- Strong understanding of content policy frameworks, community guidelines, and online safety principles, with the ability to apply consistent judgment across text, images, forums, and multimedia content while considering cultural and regional nuances across ANZ and Asian markets
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset to identify policy violations, assess context, and make efficient decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Emotional resilience and professional objectivity to review potentially sensitive or disturbing content, with excellent communication skills to articulate moderation decisions and provide clear feedback to stakeholders
- Fluent English skills (verbal and written) and proficiency with moderation tools, content management systems, and data analysis platforms; additional Asian language proficiency is a plus
