Electronics Lab Technician

Pay:$30-35/hr
We are seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to support the development, testing, and validation of advanced electronic and power systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced engineering lab environment, building prototypes, troubleshooting hardware, and supporting product development from concept through validation.
Responsibilities
- Perform electronic circuit board modifications, including component rework, soldering, and de-soldering.
- Build and fabricate custom test equipment, including test boxes, harnesses, and prototype assemblies.
- Execute functional testing of circuit board assemblies and power electronic systems using established test procedures.
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power analyzers, and power supplies.
- Build and configure server racks, perform cable management, and install hardware including KVMs, PDUs, and network switches.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and document electronic hardware issues, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and component datasheets.
- Support prototype fabrication and general shop activities.
- Assist with development and validation testing of high-voltage electronic systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Jira, and Confluence.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on engineering lab experience.
- Experience performing soldering, electronic assembly, and PCB rework.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and standard electronic test equipment.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot electronic hardware and interpret electrical documentation.
- Experience assembling server racks and installing related hardware is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced product development environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of tasks.
- Knowledge of high-voltage safety practices and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
